Service Provider 14.5kV Circuit Breaker And 14.5kV Potential Transformers Install

 

 

The Dynamo Crew was on site of a provincial service provider in Yorkton and captured a timelapse of replacing a 14.5kV circuit breaker and installing a set of 14.5kV potential transformers. Dynamo was responsible for installing (2) screw piles, manufacturing & installation of the PT structure, underground conduit installation, structure & apparatus grounding, associated cable installs and wiring, and the installation of the overhead conductor.

 

Scope of work below:

- Modify existing concrete foundation TYPE 16 by supplying and installing four (4) HILTI Anchor Bolts to ensure the foundation can support the new breaker structure.

- Supply and install two (2) Type 27 steel screw piles.

- For grounding of new 403 PT and Circuit Breaker, make two new ground loops for 403PT, connect to the existing station ground grid and replace the existing two ground loops of 403 Circuit Breaker.

- Demo existing Circuit breaker / switchgear kiosk and install new 14.5kV Reactor Circuit Breaker (DeadType); perform testing and commissioning of apparatus.

- Installation of new 14.5kV PT (CVT); perform testing and commissioning of apparatus.

- Install flex bus connections from new 403p & 403 Circuit Breaker to 14.5kV rigid bus.

- Bench testing of all three (3) protective relays.

- Panel fabrication and installation and wiring, Site/Field wiring, commissioning and test construction services required for all apparatus.

- Supply, fabrication and installation of one (1) PT steel structure.

- Replacement and installation of Reactor protections.
