Teamwork, Diversity, and Inclusion

Encouraging diversity and inclusion are fundamental to the success of our team. We take pride in each other's achievements and treat each other with trust and respect.  We recognize that the success of our business cannot be accomplished by one individual’s efforts and that we are stronger together.

Diverse Employment Strategies

Pie chart graph showing the diversity break down of dynamo workforce showing 17% are indigenous, 6% are visible minority, 7% are female in none traditional roles.

Dynamo is an equal opportunity employer.  Since 2019, Dynamo has increased diversity hiring with notable increases in the areas of Females in a Trade or Non-Traditional role and Indigenous Peoples.

Dynamo continues to support and grow a diverse workforce through specific job ads with the preference given to qualified employment equity group members who apply and self-declare as part of specific diversity groups.  We also continue to support the following educational programs by providing on-the-job training to develop skills and work experience leading to full-time meaningful employment for potential candidates:

  • Saskatchewan Polytechnic’s Cooperative Education work term program provides on the job training throughout the cycle of the student’s courses.  The programs supported are the Electrical Engineering Technologist program; and the School of Business Accountancy, Marketing, Office Administration and Human Resources programs.
  • SIIT (Saskatchewan Indian Institute of Technologies) Electrical Applied Certificate program.  We support this program by hiring and indenturing Indigenous students into the Journeyman Electrician Apprenticeship trades program.
  • Gabriel Dumont Institute (GDI) apprenticeship program is for Indigenous students and workers who have an interest in pursuing an apprenticeship learning opportunity in the high voltage and construction industry. Dynamo hires and indentures qualified candidates from this program into both the Journeyman Electrician and Welding Apprenticeship trades programs.

Our Communities

Dynamo continues to create opportunities that increase the socio-economic benefits for the local communities and Indigenous peoples in the communities in which we work.

Dynamo is committed to building sustainable relationships with local communities who live near where we work and conduct our business.  As members of this greater community, we hold a responsibility to promote inclusion and build positive relationships, not just construction projects. Through mutual respect and co-operation, we will achieve these common goals that benefit all stakeholders affected by our work.
