Design-build scope of work for the Richardson International Canola Crush facility.

Every year, Richardson International crushes and processes over 1.8 million metric tonnes of canola seed sourced. Their processing facilities process canola seed into oil – for food, ingredients, biodiesel, and other industrial uses.

Dynamo was retained by FWS Group of Companies to complete a design-build scope of work for the Richardson International Canola Crush facility plant expansion located in Yorkton, Saskatchewan.

This design and construction project encompasses high and medium voltage distribution network upgrades for the site and the scope of work includes:

• Interface with SaskPower to ensure all utility requirements have been met.

• Design and build the expansion of the 13.8 kV switchgear building and switchgear line-up.

• Design and construct new 13.8 kV underground cable feeders.

• Install new 13.8 kV primary transformers.

• Commissioning of all in-scope equipment.

• Project manual covering all aspects of the design, construction, and commissioning that had been completed.

Dynamo and Richardson have a successful history, and that relationship continues with maintenance and capital project activities.

• Design and construction of a new substation including one (1) new 138 – 13.8 kV transformer, and re-use of the existing site 138 – 13.8 kV transformer.
