Today we #throwback to when Dynamo was retained by Enbridge with the primary objective to install two (2) three-winding 138 kV power transformers to carry the site load and allow de-energization of the existing 72–4.16 kV substation.
The work for the Utility Power Upgrade in Loreburn, SK included the installation of a new electrical services building (430-ESB), fabrication and installation of cable tray support structures and all associated civil works, cable tray systems, installation of 5,600 m of medium voltage cables, 162 terminations as well as low voltage power and control cables and cable testing. The project required several time-critical outages which needed to be executed concurrently with other sites to allow transferring loads from the existing 72 kV–4.16 kV substation to the new electrical services building.
