PROJECT SUMMARY:

Dynamo was contracted to fabricate, ship, and install a
16 m x 7.3 m switchgear building for the Parkridge Station in Regina, SK. The project was guided by a complete set of sealed drawings developed by Dynamo based on preliminary designs from SaskPower.

The scope included the design, construction, supply, installation, testing, and commissioning of an indoor
25 kV metal-enclosed switchgear lineup and associated apparatus.

The building, constructed by Dynamo Manufacturing, had a steel skid and I-beam frame featuring a purlin and girt skeleton. The exterior was clad in metal, while the interior was insulated and finished with a vapour barrier, interior walls, plywood sheeting, and topped with a flat steel liner. All necessary electrical, mechanical, and raised access floor systems were installed.

The scope also encompassed shipping the building to site, placing and welding it to the foundation, installing stairs, and shipping loose electrical items.

Upon arrival at the site, the switchgear building needed to be connected to the existing site control building. Dynamo provided the design and construction services necessary for this integration, ensuring a seamless connection between the two structures.
