SECTOR:

Mining

CLIENT:

Nutrien – Allan Mine

DURATION OF PROJECT:

4 Days

PROJECT SUMMARY:

Hoist drive upgrades at the Nutrien Allan Potash Mine had caused undesirable harmonic effects that resulted in vibration and damage to the existing production hoist transformers, eventually leading to failure.

Dynamo was contracted to assist with the removal and replacement of both failed hoist transformers. Due to
the urgency of the situation, Nutrien requested the specialized services of our team to address the matter promptly.

The original project timeline was set for seven days, with two senior apparatus crews – one working day shifts and the other working night shifts – to ensure the successful completion of the work. This efficient coordination enabled the project to be completed ahead of schedule, in just four days, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality throughout.
