PROJECT SUMMARY:

Dynamo was retained by Louis Dreyfus Company (LDC) to design a greenfield substation and medium voltage distribution for their canola processing facility near Yorkton, SK. This expansion will double the processing capacity but is essentially a second greenfield plant at this location.

The substation is a 138 kV to 13.8 kV and includes two (2) transformers, one for the canola facility expansion and another for a protein plant. An SEL RTAC, remote I/O axion modules, and SEL relays have been selected for the protection and control for the substation and MV distribution. The design has been advanced to 85% completion and is now on hold for selection of major equipment which is taking place before the end of 2023.  Once the equipment is selected, the vendor drawings will be implemented into the final design package expected in the first quarter of 2024.
