Dynamo performed the installation and commissioning of seven engineered 15 kV cable bus systems supplied by Superior Tray. Each system consisted of six parallel runs, 18 total, of either 500 MCM or 750 MCM, 15 kV cables with lengths ranging from 70’ to 600’. In total more than 46,000’ of cable were routed within the existing plant infrastructure, overproduction buildings and through small underground tunnels.
The project also included the installation of a Siemens-supplied E-house containing a line-up of 15 kV, 5,000 A gas-insulated switchgear, 84 15 kV Connex, size 3 Pfisterer connectors, and 206 15 kV terminations. The supply and installation of protection and control cables, including fibre optic cables and terminations, was later added to the scope of work.
