PROJECT SUMMARY:

Evraz NA is a global steel and mining company and the leading producer of infrastructure steel products in North America. They are among the top 30 steel producers in the world and own and operate major assets in Russia and North America.

Dynamo was retained to reconfigure the primary and secondary cables for 85.NUT.67 distribution transformer.  The top-entry configuration of the existing cabinets were severely compromised due to the corrosive environment and water entering the compartments through the cable entry point.

New stainless-steel cabinets were designed, fabricated, and installed by Dynamo.  The 13.8 kV primary cables and the 5 kV secondary cables were removed and replaced with 15 kV and 5 kV single conductor 350 MCM cables.

Engineering began in early 2015 before the removal, installation, cable terminations, and commissioning were completed in the fall of 2015.
