PROJECT SUMMARY
Dynamo designed a greenfield substation and medium voltage distribution for a canola processing facility near Yorkton, SK.
PROJECT SUMMARY
SECTOR:
Renewables
CLIENT:
MLTC BioEnergy
DURATION OF PROJECT:
4 Months
PROJECT SUMMARY:
The MLTC BioEnergy facility is a carbon-neutral generating facility located at the Meadow Lake NorSask Sawmill site. The system is fueled by sawmill biomass residuals to generate roughly 6.6 MWs of green power.
Dynamo was contracted to fabricate a substation protection and control panel, three (3) PLC control panels, four (4) network cabinets, and an E-Stop panel. The client drawing package was closely reviewed and sorted to provide construction efficiencies as major supply chain issues were inevitable due to the effects of the global pandemic. Alternative products and solutions identified and proposed by Dynamo were quickly accepted by the client to avoid possible project delays.
Numerous design and wiring changes, along with device substitutions, were managed with close client and contractor communications resulting in a finished product being delivered on time and on budget despite unprecedented challenges presented to our project team schedule.
