SaskPower is the electric utility in Saskatchewan. Established nearly 100 years ago they s, they serve over 500,000 customers and manage over $10 billion in assets.
Dynamo was retained to complete bus upgrades to part of the 138 kV portion of the switching station along with numerous switch, breaker, and instrument transformer replacements. Apparatus/bus modifications to both the
72 kV and 138 kV portions of the substations were involved. Also included in this scope of work was the installation of screw piles, salvage of obsolete equipment, and the removal and disposal of PCB-contaminated insulating fluids.
All removal, replacement, commissioning, and energization took place in a brownfield station setting.
