SECTOR:

CLIENT:

Chemtrade Logistics Inc.

DURATION OF PROJECT:

7 Days

PROJECT SUMMARY:

The T17 transformer at the Chemtrade Logistics’ plant in Brandon, MB had developed several leaks over its service life. Several gasketed and sealed components developed leaks resulting in an increased risk to the asset as well as potential environmental concerns.

Over the seven (7) day period, the unit was cleaned, drained, touch up paint applied, and leak repairs were completed on bushing gaskets, hatch gaskets, piping and Victaulic fittings, radiator flanges, valve packing, pump/ gauge seals, and flange gaskets.

The transformer was placed under vacuum and dried. The oil was processed through a standalone Fuller’s Earth system, then hot oil filled and circulated using Dynamo’s mobile oil process unit. A full set of electrical tests were completed, and the transformer was put back in service.
